Jam sessions pt 2

What’s been goin on the past few weeks? We got a couple more songs by The Sword down pact with vocals and we feel pretty good about them. I’m working on memorizing the last few minutes of Gnaw. David still trying to teach me how to do successful bends because if they’re even a tad bit flat, he loses his mind a bit lol. “YOU HAVE TO BEND IT MORE LIZZIE!”

What are the rules for band pictures? 1) look angry/butthurt at the world, 2) never look at the camera, 3) hope the mosquitos don’t carry you away (like they almost did to me).

They turned out alright I guess- we didn’t set the standards that high. Only so much one can do with duct tape and a table clamp. But, Gibby got his first nature walk and didn’t choke too much on the fresh air.

Bloopers

This one reminds me of The Darlings from Andy Griffith

The mosquitos trying to carry me away

He got me a feedback pedal for the AGN and EHG songs I play. I got him a Boss RC-1 pedal (for the songs that require 2 guitarists, like Freya and champagne and reefer). It sounds great…and it’s better than hiring another guitarist.

Speaking of pedals, David’s been quite obsessed with the Fart Pedal #2 (and the fact it’s 250$).

I will say hearing “Money” and “Sweet Child of mine” through it was pretty funny. And now you know how GNR got their natural/signature sound that everyone at Forever 21 loves. Pearl and Bandit were not really amused.

We got a new addition to the family (and don’t get your hopes up)- it’s another dog. A beagle showed up on our street and no one wanted her/shelter was full, so we kept her and named her Minnie. She likes to climb everything. She took Pearls bed in the music room, so Pearl gets the couch now.

Bandits trying hard to be involved in the band and is starting to do backup vocals most nights, but I have my suspicions it’s out of desperation for the root beer candies (he’s on a diet).

Pearl is still our producer and is quite judgemental

Looking like the agonist by latitudes here

We tested out the Shure mic / stand we got from guitar center and it works well. Pearl was super confused the first time David tried it out though and was pointing everywhere.

All in all, things are coming along and we keep practicing every day. We have fun (except when David’s teaching bends). Hence why this sticker is on the door to the band studio.
